About us

Founded in 1971, the Society presents long-term and changing exhibitions on local history and culture, including Living Off the Land: Food, Farms and Families in The Stone Age in Harrison Township, at the Old Town Hall Museum. Built in 1871, the Hall also houses the Raccoon Valley General Store, a museum shop recreating a traditional country store experience. Admission is free. Free concerts and lectures are offered at the Society’s historic Richwood Academy Cultural Center, 836 Lambs Road, Richwood. The Society also presents two popular events: The Asparagus Festival in May and The Mullica Hill Ghost Walk each October and publishes the Shop Local Discount Coupon Book. Follow us on Facebook for up-to-date exhibition, program and membership information.
